Severstal signs supply contract with Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant

The Russian steel producer Severstal has signed a contract with Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant for the supply of flat rolled steel products for the production of freight cars.
 
Under the terms of the contract, in January 2011 Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, has already delivered 400 mt of hot rolled sheet. A trial batch of hot rolled coils is planned to be shipped in February.
 
The hot rolled flat steel products for Tikhvin Railway Car Building Plant will be shipped from Severstal Cherepovets' mill 2000 and mill 2800.
