Japanese automobile production in October this year totaled 904,247 units, increasing by 152,827 units or 20.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).
Domestic sales in October this year in Japan stood at 381,114 vehicles, up 25.2 percent as compared with the same month of the previous year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in October amounted to 472,022 units, up by 54,992 units or 13.1 percent year on year, increasing compared to the same month of the previous year for the third consecutive month. The revenue generated by these exports amounted to $14.5 billion, including $10.8 billion for vehicles and $3.6 billion for parts. This is an increase of $2 billion or 16.1 percent as compared with $12.5 billion recorded for the same month of the previous year.
