Germany's motor vehicle output up 6.5 percent in H1

In June of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including automobiles and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 306,510 units, up 1.23 percent month on month, but decreasing by 1.15 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first half of this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 2.88 percent year on year, totaling 1,691,640 units.
 
According to the VDA, in June this year 481,580 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 5.57 percent and a year-on-year decline of 4.06 percent. German automobile output in the first half of the current year amounted to 3,065,200 units, showing a 6.52 percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In June this year, a total of 361,860 motor vehicles were exported from Germany, down 7.04 percent month on month and decreasing by 4.09 percent compared to June 2013. In the first half, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 2,356,450 units, increasing by 7.52 percent year on year.
