Germany's motor vehicle output up 3.2 percent in September

In September of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including automobiles and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 287,230 units, up 21.39 percent month on month and increasing by 5.08 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-September period of this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 3.33 percent year on year, totaling 2,514,550 units.
 
According to the VDA, in September this year 557,170 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 88.4 percent and a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent. German automobile output in the first nine months of the current year amounted to 4,479,050 units, showing a 4.16 percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In September this year, a total of 418,890 motor vehicles were exported from Germany, up 83.6 percent month on month and increasing by 2.2 percent compared to September 2013. In the first nine months, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 3,435,710 units, increasing by 4.16 percent year on year.
