Germany's auto output down 5.4 percent in April from March

In April of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including automobiles and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 300,650 units, down by 8.61 month on month and decreasing 3.51 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first four months this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 3.2 percent year on year, totaling 1,082,340 units.
 
According to the VDA, in April this year 491,500 automobiles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a year-on-year decrease of two percent and a month-on-month decline of 5.4 percent. German automobile output in the first four months of the current year amounted to 1,969,400 units, showing a seven percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In April this year, a total of 377,400 automobiles were exported, up one percent compared to April 2013. In the first four months, German automobile exports amounted to 1,523,200 units, increasing by eight percent year on year.
