German crude steel output decreases by 4.4 percent in January-September

In September this year, Germany's crude steel output decreased by four percent year on year to 3.35 million metric tons, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). In the January-September period, crude steel production in Germany declined by 4.4 percent year on year to 30.55 million mt.

Germany's pig iron output in September amounted to 2.02 million mt, down by 7.6 percent, while in the first nine months the country's pig iron output decreased by four percent to 19.66 million mt, both year on year.

The country's hot rolled steel output fell by 10.7 percent to 2.81 million mt in September, while decreasing by 5.6 percent to 26.37 million mt in the first nine months, both compared to the respective periods of the previous year.
