In October this year, Germany's crude steel output decreased by 6.8 percent year on year to 3.32 million metric tons, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). In the January-October period, crude steel production in Germany declined by 4.6 percent year on year to 33.87 million mt.
Germany's pig iron output in October amounted to 2.1 million mt, down by 5.9 percent, while in the first ten months the country's pig iron output decreased by 4.2 percent to 21.75 million mt, both year on year.
The country's hot rolled steel output fell by 1.3 percent to 3.05 million mt in October, while decreasing by 5.2 percent to 29.41 million mt in the first ten months, both compared to the respective periods of the previous year.
