German crude steel output down by 9.8 percent in January

In January this year, Germany's crude steel output decreased by 9.8 percent year on year to 3.12 million metric tons, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).

Germany's pig iron output in January amounted to 2.04 million mt, down by 12.6 percent, year on year.

The country's hot rolled steel output fell by 3.7 percent to 2.77 million mt in January, compared to the same month of the previous year.
