As reported by
Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in 2011 the producer prices of industrial products in
Germany were on average 5.7 percent higher compared to 2010 prices.
Annual average prices in 2011 for intermediate goods in
Germany rose 5.3 percent over the previous year, especially due to the strong price increases for metals which were up 9.2 percent compared to 2010.
In December 2011, prices of intermediate goods increased by two percent as compared to the same month of 2010 and were down 0.3 percent as compared to November 2011, while metal prices fell by 1.8 percent compared to December 2010 and were down 0.9 percent from November 2011.
