German wholesale metal prices down 4.6 percent in June

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in June of the current year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 0.7 percent higher compared to June 2012, following the 0.1 percent year-on-year price decrease recorded in May. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index was 0.4 percent lower in June compared to May.

In June, a sharp price decline was seen in the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany with a 4.6 percent fall compared to the same month of 2012, following the 5.1 percent decline recorded in May. Meanwhile, the wholesale prices in the metal sector were down 0.5 percent in June compared to May.
