Auto demand in Turkey rises 10.1 percent in October over September

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey amounted to 88,672 units, increasing by 10.1 percent month on month and 40 percent year on year.
 
New passenger car registrations in October totaled 45,842 units, rising by 17.6 percent as compared to the previous month and 45.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Passenger cars accounted for 51.7 percent of total registrations.

Meanwhile, small truck registrations increased by 19.5 percent month on month and 31.8 percent year on year, amounting to 21,195 units. Small truck registrations constituted 23.9 percent of total registrations.
 
Trucks, minibuses, buses and vehicles with special purposes accounted for 6.3 percent of total registrations, with a total of 5,586 units registered during the month.
