According to market sources, steel demand in Yemen is still on the weak side, due to ongoing political uncertainty in the country. However, some Yemeni buyers continue to make inquiries for Turkish rebar, but Turkish exporters have increased their offers to the country by $15/mt over the past three weeks to $415-420/mt FOB for October shipment, considering the risks in the region. Chinese rebar offers to Yemen are in the range of $350/mt CFR. No new rebar deals have been heard in the country yet in the current week.
