In the Jordanian domestic rebar market, although prices have been maintained at previous levels so far, market sources state that prices may see some upward correction in the coming period on the back of rising scrap prices in the country.

Accordingly, medium sized rebar prices in Jordan are currently standing at the price range of JOD 645-650/mt ($908-915/mt) ex-works, including eight percent VAT, on actual weight basis, for 30-day deferred payment. This price range has indicated no change in the last three weeks.

In the meantime, it is reported that rebar demand in Jordan is still at good levels.

JOD 1 = $1.408
