Rebar demand remains at normal levels in Jordan

In this week's Jordanian domestic market, rebar prices are ranging at JOD 620-625/mt ($874-881/mt) ex-works on actual weight basis, including eight percent local taxes and for 30-45-day deferred payment.

The Jordanian domestic market has not shown any significant changes in demand as compared to previous weeks, with rebar demand remaining at normal levels on the back of ongoing construction projects. Meanwhile, the ongoing strife in Syria has continued to negatively affect deliveries to Jordan.  While rebar demand is not expected to show significant increases, no ex-Turkey rebar offers to Jordan have been heard so far.
