CRC import price offers stable in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are being negotiated in average at $920/mt, CFR conditions, stable from two weeks ago, according to sources.

In May, Brazil exported 1,800 mt of CRC, in average at $1,266/mt, while importing 44,100 mt of the product at $698/mt, both FOB conditions.

The volume imported in May is the highest monthly level in recent years, reflecting the premium of more than 25 percent in the domestic price, compared to the price in international markets.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,150/mt ($1,292/mt), stable in BRL from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
