CRC import offer prices stable in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil remain negotiated in average at $890/mt, CFR conditions, stable from two weeks ago, according to sources.

In August, Brazil exported 1,712 mt of CRC, in average at $1,280/mt, and imported 37,900 mt of the product at $728/mt, both FOB conditions.

Reflecting chiefly exchange rate variations, in the Brazilian domestic market CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,300/mt ($1,299/mt), against BRL 6,400/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.

In the Brazilian domestic market, the premium in relation to the price of a similar imported product, after clearing customs, is stable from two weeks ago at 18 percent, according to sources.
