Uzbekistan's steel output up by 17%

Uzbekistan’s steel output up by 17%

Uzmetkombinat, Uzbekistan's only steel mill, produced 428'540 tons of steel in Jan-Sep 2004 period with a rise of 17% compared to the same period of last year. Rolled steel production rose by 16.9% to 402'410 tons in the mentioned period. This tonnage includes 301'200 tons of value added products, indicating a rise of 20.4%.
