Uzmetkombinat to start production of seamless pipes in 2015

Uzbek steelmaker Uzbekistan Metallurgical Plant (Uzmetkombinat), based in Bekabad in the Tashkent region, has announced that in 2015 it plans to start production of steel seamless hot-deformed pipes with 40-168 mm diameter and wall thickness of 6-25 mm.. The new facility's capacity will be around 30,000 mt of pipes per year. The total investment in the project will be about $90 million.
