Uzmetkombinat’s crude steel output up 1.1% in Q1

Uzbekistan-based steel producer Uzmetkombinat has announced that in the first quarter this year it increased its crude steel output by 1.1 percent year on year to 177,000 mt, while its rolled steel production went up by 0.2 percent compared to the same period of last year to 170,200 mt.

In the first quarter this year, Uzmetkombinat produced consumer goods worth UZS 12.6 billion ($5.43 million), up six percent year on year.

In the period in question, the company's investments totaled UZS 3.38 billion ($1.457 million) compared to the forecast level of UZS 3.35 billion.
