Vyksa Steel Works sees 13 percent drop in steel pipe output in 2011

Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for 2011.

Accordingly, in the past year Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel pipes exceeded 1.7 million mt, down 13 percent compared to 2010, including one million mt of large diameter pipes. In December alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 95,000 mt of steel pipes, including 36,000 mt of large diameter pipes.

In 2011, Vyksa Steel Works increased its output of railway wheels by 11.5 percent year on year to 742,000 wheels. In December 2011, Vyksa Steel Works produced 36,000 railway wheels.
