Russian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Vyksa Steel Works (VSW), a part of Russia-based OMK Group,  has continued to execute provisions of the contract it received for pipe production for the South Stream project, S. Zagulovsky, head of the company's PR department, has said.

Vyksa Steel Works has not received any notifications regarding change of conditions of the agreements signed on pipe supply for the construction of South Stream, amid the shutdown of the project, he said.

"At the present time, according to the approved schedule, Vyksa Steel Works is continuing to produce pipes for the first stage of the offshore site of South Stream", Mr. Zalugovsky stated.
He said that in March this year OMK signed two contracts with SouthStream Transport BV, according to which the plant is to produce and supply to the customer over 600 km of pipes (over on third of the necessary volume) for the construction of the first and second stages of the offshore part of South Stream.
