The United States Court of International Trade (USCIT) has announced that it has started investigating the US Department of Commerce’s antidumping duty implementation on circular welded non-alloy steel pipe from South Korea for imports between 2015 and 2016.

According to the USCIT, Commerce’s findings on the imports in question lack substantial evidence for imposing high tariffs.

Earlier, Commerce had imposed high tariffs on the imports of the products mentioned from South Korean companies for the 2015-16 period, at 30.85 percent for Hyundai Steel, 19.28 percent for SeAH Steel and 7.71 percent for Husteel.
