US raises AD duty on heavy walled rectangular pipes from S. Korea

The Department of Commerce (DOC) of the US has announced that, as a result of its preliminary determinations on the antidumping (AD) duty review on heavy walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from South Korea, it has decided to raise the antidumping duties on the products mentioned.

Accordingly, the DOC has increased the antidumping duty for Dong-A Steel from 20.79 percent to 53.80 percent, for HiSteel Co. Ltd from 4.74 percent to 40.40 percent, for Kukie Steel Co. Ltd from 12.81 percent to 51.27 percent, while increasing the duties for other South Korean steel producers and exporters from 12.81 percent to 43.91 percent.

The products subject to duty currently fall under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States subheading 7306.61.1000, while they may also be classified under 7306.61.3000.
