According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK),
Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in July this year increased by 16.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and was down 1.9 percent over June.
In July, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in
Turkey improved by 30.7 percent year on year and registered a decline of 2.7 percent over the previous month. In May, the index had reached its highest monthly level since September 2008.
Meanwhile, in July, the monthly industrial new orders index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 1.83 percent over June and was up 23.89 percent year on year.
