In October this year, the turnover in France's manufacturing industry increased 0.9 percent month on month, following the 2.7 percent month-on-month decrease recorded in September, according to France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Exports of France's manufacturing sector increased by 3.4 percent month on month in October, after the 4.3 percent decrease registered in September compared to August.
In October of the current year, turnover in French manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products rose by 3.9 percent, while the turnover in French metal and metal product manufacturing increased by 1.6 percent, both compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, an 8.1 percent month-on-month decrease was recorded in the turnover in the automobile industry. However, the turnover in the country's manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers rose 1.5 percent month on month. In October, the turnover in the French construction industry increased by 2.6 percent compared to the previous month.
