CSC’s steel sales up 26 percent in March from February

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in March this year its carbon steel sales volume increased by 26 percent to 811,767 metric tons compared to February and accounting for 66 percent of domestic sales. During the first three months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 2.28 million mt, accounting for 66 percent of domestic sales.
 
In March, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 27.8 billion ($893.4 million), rising 17.8 percent month on month. In the given month, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 1.5 billion ($48.2 million), declining by 21.4 percent compared to the previous month.
