CSC posts decline in carbon steel sales in November over October

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in November this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 777,364 metric tons, falling 8.88 percent compared to October and accounting for 60 percent of domestic sales. In the first 11 months of the current year, the company sold 8.9 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales.
 
In November, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 28.8 billion ($914.9 million), falling 6.08 percent compared to the previous month. In the first 11 months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 336.3 billion ($10.7 billion). In November, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.87 billion ($91.2 million), declining by 1.03 percent compared to October.
