Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (
CSC) has announced that in September this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 838,719 metric tons, rising 1.21 percent compared to August and accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. In the first nine months of the current year, the company sold 7.27 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales.
In September,
CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.8 billion ($1.01 billion), remaining almost unchanged compared to the previous month. In the first nine months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 276.8 billion ($9.11 billion). In September, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 3 billion ($98.7 million), increasing by 4.5 percent compared to August.
