Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s minister of finance, has announced that the country extended the tariff suspension for Ukrainian products, including steel for another year until June 9, 2024.

The tariffs were suspended on June 9, 2022 for an initial one-year period to support Ukraine’s economy, in the face of the Russian aggression in the country, by increasing exports to Canada.

Meanwhile, the EU and the US also extended duty suspension for Ukrainian products for another year, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
