Amendment in final results of AD review on pipe fittings from Taiwan
The US Department of Commerce (DOC) amended final results of an antidumping duty administrative review on certain
stainless steel butt-weld
pipe fittings imported from
Taiwan.
On December 21, 2001, the DOC published final results of an administrative review of the antidumping duties on certain
stainless steel butt-weld
pipe fittings imported from
Taiwan. The period of review was June 1, 1999, through May 31, 2000.
Following the publication of the final results, Alloy Piping Products Inc, Flowline Division, Markovitz Enterprises Inc, Gerlin Inc, and Taylor Forge
Stainless Inc (the petitioners) and the respondent Ta Chen filed a lawsuit with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) challenging the DOC's results. Upon the petition, the ITC instructed the DOC to reopen the record.
On February 14, 2005, the DOC published the remand results. As a result of the remand determination, the antidumping rate for Ta Chen was decreased from 6.11 percent to 6.10 percent.
Having not received any comments on the remand results, the ITC, on June 14, 2005, affirmed the DOC's findings.
Accordingly, the DOC amended the final results of administrative review of the antidumping order on certain
stainless steel butt-weld
pipe fittings imported from
Taiwan for the period June 1, 1999, through May 31, 2000. The revised weighted-average dumping margin for Ta Chen is 6.10 percent.
