AK Steel to lay off maintenance workers at Indiana plant

According a notice filed Wednesday by Siemens Industry, a company that provides maintenance workers for West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel's Rockport plant in Southern Indiana, at least 63 maintenance workers at the Indiana facility will be laid off in mid-March.

The notice was posted on the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and did not indicate a reason behind "permanent shut down of Siemens maintenance operations at this location."
