Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $880/mt, against $855/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In October, Brazil exported 42,400 mt and imported 67,200 mt of HRC, against respectively 5,300 mt and 88,900 mt in September.
The exporters in October were CSN (29,900 mt at $681/mt, all destined to its Portugal subsidiary), ArcelorMittal (7,700 mt at $583/mt), Usiminas (4,200 mt at $1,123/mt), and Gerdau (600 mt at $801/mt), all FOB conditions.
Destinations other than Portugal were South America (11,700 mt at $803/mt) and Egypt (800 mt at $342/mt).
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,300/mt ($1,091/mt), ex-works, no taxes included, against BRL 5,200/mt two weeks ago.
