Brazil exported 117,800 mt of HRC in July, a 11.3 percent reduction from June, at an average FOB price of $470/mt, 5.9 percent lower than in June.

ArcelorMittal exported 76,500 mt at $444/mt, CSN exported 40,800 mt at $515/mt and Usiminas exported 400 mt at $794/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in May.

The main destinations were South America (54,600 mt), the EU (40,500 mt), Turkey (20,000 mt) and the Caribbean (2,200 mt).

Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC for export in a range of $520/mt to $530/mt, FOB conditions, against $520/mt last week, with reference to the basic commercial grades, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that HRC export prices are in uptrend, pushed by higher production costs and increased demand.
