Wuyang Steel receives order for 14,391 mt of wide and heavy plate

Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has stated that its Hebei-based subsidiary Wuyang Iron and Steel has received another order for wide and heavy plate, totaling 14,391 mt, for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) project. Accordingly, Wuyang Steel has now received total orders of 26,900 mt of the product in question for the HZMB project.

The bridge project in question is expected to cost RMB 72.5 billion RMB, while it is due to open to traffic at the end of 2016. 

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is the first large-scale infrastructure project to be developed jointly by the governments of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Macao Special Administrative Region.
