Ukraine’s automotive output falls 14 percent in January-July

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association - Ukrautoprom, in January-July this year Ukrainian automakers produced 38,519 vehicles, registering a 14 percent decrease year on year. In particular, during the period in question, local automakers produced 34,145 cars - down 21 percent, 1,367 buses - up 2.6 times, and 3,007 trucks - up 2.4 times, all compared to January-July 2009.

In July this year, Ukraine saw an 11 percent month-on-month increase in automotive output to 7,530 units, including 6,890 cars - up 16 percent, 253 buses - up 25 percent, 383 trucks - down 39 percent, all compared to June.
