Ukraine’s automotive output sees 149 percent growth in Jan-Feb

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association - Ukrautoprom, in the January-February period of the current year Ukrainian automakers produced 13,660 vehicles, registering a 149 percent year-on-year increase.
 
In particular, in the first two months of this year, Ukraine's automakers produced 12,949 cars - up 163 percent, 305 buses - down seven percent, and 406 trucks - up 66 percent, all compared to the same period of 2010.
 
Accordingly, the 149 percent year-on-year increase in the country's automotive output was mainly due to results from February, when Ukrainian automakers saw a 106 percent month-on-month rise and a 190 percent year-on-year increase in their output to 9,196 vehicles, including 8,743 cars - up 202 percent, 140 buses - down 19 percent, and 313 trucks - up 201 percent, all compared to February 2010.
