Ukraine’s automotive output falls nine percent in January-September

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association - Ukrautoprom, in January-September this year Ukrainian automakers produced 53,490 vehicles, registering a nine percent decrease year on year. In particular, during the period in question, local automakers produced 47,838 cars - down 15 percent, 1,920 buses - up 143 percent, and 3,732 trucks - up 141 percent, all compared to January-September 2009.

In September this year, Ukraine saw a 24 percent month-on-month increase in automotive output to 8,283 units, including 7,677 cars - up 28 percent, 259 buses - down 12 percent, and 347 trucks - down eight percent, all compared to August.
