In April this year, Ukrainian automakers increased their output by 27 percent month on month to 6,713 vehicles, including 5,859 cars - up 30 percent, 646 trucks -  up 0.5 percent, and 208 buses -  up 29 percent, all compared to March. Thus, the rising trend in Ukraine's automobile production has continued for the third month running, due to the growth in the automobile market, seen for the first time in two years, and due to the rise of export deliveries.

In January-April 2010, Ukraine produced 17,423 vehicles, registering a 26 percent decrease year on year. In particular, during the period in question, the local automakers produced 15,270 cars - down 33.5 percent, 697 buses - up 99.7 percent, and 1,456 trucks - up 3.6 times, all compared to January-April 2009.
