Turkey’s HR flat steel exports climb 140 percent in March over February

According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in March this year Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 52,200 metric tons, decreasing by 26.1 percent year on year and climbing by 140 percent month on month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $33.95 million, declining by 2.53 percent compared to March 2009 and up 155.45 percent month on month.
 
On the other hand, in the given month, the country's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 22,676 metric tons, down 57.23 percent year on year, but significantly higher than the previous month by 80.2 percent, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $15.87 million, down 43.8 percent as compared to March 2009 and up 80.14 percent month on month.
