Taiwan's basic metal export orders up 1.9 percent in October

In October this year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.45 billion, up 2.7 percent compared to September and increasing by 1.9 percent compared to October 2013, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders had increased by 10.9 percent and by 6.4 percent in September and August this year respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
 
On the other hand, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the January-October period of the current year amounted to a value of $23.77 billion, rising by 5.6 percent on year-on-year basis.
