Taiwan's basic metal export orders up 5.9 percent in H1

In June this year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.32 billion, down four percent compared to May and increasing by 8.8 percent compared to June 2013, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders had increased by 4.7 percent and by 11.4 percent in May and April this year respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
 
On the other hand, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first half of the current year amounted to a value of $14.18 billion, rising by 5.9 percent on year-on-year basis.
