South Korea’s new car registrations up 20 percent in Jan-Aug

South Korea's new car registrations fell 1.8 percent month on month but rose 16 percent year on year to 10,576 units in August this year, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).

In the first eight months of 2012, South Korean new car registrations rose by 20 percent to 83,583 units compared to the same quarter of 2011.
