Scrap supplies by rail to Russian steelmakers down 1.6% in January

According to Russian Railway statistics, in January this year direct supplies of steel scrap by rail to Russian metallurgical companies and pipe plants totaled 578,200 mt. The volume in question was down 1.6 percent compared to January last year and indicated a decrease of 52.4 percent compared to December.
