Potential coal reserves at Hoxtolgay deposit in Xinjiang may exceed 100 billion mt

The Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources in China's Xinjiang autonomous region has concluded a general exploration of the Hoxtolgay coal deposit in Baiyanghe in Xinjiang, as reported by China's Ministry of Land and Resources.

Following the exploration work carried out over a three-year period, proven coal reserves at the Hoxtolgay deposit have been estimated at 30 billion mt, while it is thought that potential coal reserves may exceed 100 billion mt. The deposit is located in the northwest of the Junggar basin in Xinjiang.
