Tonghua Steel to start trial production at Tadong iron ore mine in May

Jilin Province-based Chinese steel producer Tonghua Iron and Steel Group (Tonghua Steel) has announced that in May this year it is planning to start trial production at the Tadong iron ore mine located in Dunhua, Jilin.

Tadong mine is the largest iron ore mine in Jilin Province, with an estimated lifespan of 34 years. The project is expected to produce 280,000 mt of iron ore concentrate and 61,200 mt of sulphur concentrate per year.
