Paul Wurth to revamp coke oven gas treatment plant of ArcelorMittal Temirtau

Luxembourg-based plantmaker Paul Wurth has announced that it has received an order from ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, for engineering, equipment supply as well as supervision services for erection and commissioning in relation to the revamping of the company’s coke oven gas treatment plant.

According to Paul Wurth, the modernized plant will serve six existing coke oven batteries and will have a coke oven gas treatment capacity of 145,000 Nm3/h. The replacement and upgrade activities will be executed while coke production and coke oven gas cleaning keep running. Completion of all the modernizations is foreseen for the third quarter of 2020.
