ArcelorMittal Temirtau completes reconstruction of sintering machine No. 6

ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan, has announced that it has started operations at its sintering machine No. 6 after completing a major overhaul and reconstruction works. The purpose of the modernization project has been to increase the productivity of the sintering machine by 30 percent, while improving working conditions for employees and also improving environmental conditions. The total investment in the reconstruction of sintering machine No. 6 amounted to about KZT 3 billion ($9.31 million).

The company stated that the reconstruction of the sintering machine No. 6 is part of its plan to improve the performance of the company’s sintering complex, with a total investment value of more than KZT 7 billion ($21.7 million). Implementation of the reconstruction of the sintering complex started in 2015 with reconstruction of the sintering machine No. 7. According to the plan, in 2018 reconstruction works will be carried out on the sintering machine No. 5.
