Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 5.6 percent in June

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 361,935 mt in June this year, decreasing by 24.1 percent compared to May and down 5.6 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in June was $107.09 million, decreasing by 15.9 percent month on month and up 4.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in June amounted to 331,554 mt, down 23.8 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 6.8 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $177.2 million, decreasing by 17.9 percent month on month and down 10.2 percent year on year.
