Pakistan's iron and steel imports down 36% in February

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 119,042 mt in February this year, decreasing 0.67 percent compared to January and up 5.24 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistic (PFBS). The value of these imports in February was $54.39 million, increasing by 6.28 percent month on month and up 25.06 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in February amounted to 125,242 mt, decreasing by 35.88 percent on year-on-year basis and down 15.91 percent compared to the previous month. In the period in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $101.98 million, decreasing by 29.18 percent year on year.
