Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 2.15 percent in April from March

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 268,963 mt in April this year, increasing by 2.15 percent compared to March and falling by 9.05 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $105.21 million, rising by 2.31 percent month on month and down 7.74 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 151,530 mt, down 39.34 percent on year-on-year basis and falling by 39.82 percent compared to the previous month. In April this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $96.91 million, decreasing by 43.99 percent year on year and down 33.74 percent month on month.
